How to create reminders for your clients directly from WhatsApp Web

Why create reminders directly from WhatsApp Web

You're chatting with a client on WhatsApp Web. You've just agreed on an appointment for Thursday at 4 PM. You open another tab, log into RicordamiApp, search for the contact, fill out the form, save. Or worse, you tell yourself "I'll do it later" and forget.

That switch between the chat and the app is where reminders get lost. The tool isn't complicated. It just forces you to interrupt what you were doing.

The Ricordami extension for WhatsApp Web removes that extra step. A button appears in the chat header: you click it, and the reminder is created right there, with the contact's number and name already filled in. You stay in the conversation.

How it works: 3 steps, one tab

The extension adds a "Ricordami" button in the chat header on WhatsApp Web, next to the search and menu icons. When you click it:

  1. It detects the contact. The phone number and name are read from the open chat. It works with contacts saved in your address book and with unsaved numbers.
  2. It opens a pre-filled form. A window opens with the number and name already entered. You add the date, time, and appointment title.
  3. It schedules the send. You click save. RicordamiApp sends the reminder via WhatsApp at the right time, based on the timing you've configured.

The chat stays open, the reminder is scheduled. No extra tabs, no copy-pasting.

Installation in 2 minutes

The extension works on Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Opera, the Chromium-based browsers that cover about 80% of desktop users.

  1. Go to the extension page on the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click "Add to Chrome" (or "Add to Edge/Brave")
  3. Open web.whatsapp.com, and the Ricordami button appears when you open a chat

No configuration needed. If you already have a RicordamiApp account, the extension uses your session. If you don't have one, you can sign up from the window that opens on your first click.

From chat to reminder in 15 seconds

You're a physiotherapist chatting with Marco on WhatsApp Web:

"Perfect Marco, so we'll see each other Tuesday the 10th at 9:30 for the session. I'll send you a reminder the day before!"

You click the Ricordami button. The form opens with "Marco" and his number already filled in. You type "Physiotherapy session", select Tuesday the 10th, 9:30 AM, and save.

On Monday the 9th, Marco receives a WhatsApp message: "Hi Marco, this is a reminder about your physiotherapy session tomorrow at 9:30." With a button to confirm or cancel, if you've enabled that option.

15 seconds, and the reminder is done. If Marco doesn't show up, at least it's not because he didn't know.

When to use it (and when not to)

The extension is built for one specific moment: creating the reminder right when you schedule the appointment with your client. It works well when:

  • You schedule appointments via WhatsApp and want to create reminders without switching tabs
  • Clients message you to confirm or reschedule times
  • You work from desktop with WhatsApp Web open

If you manage dozens of appointments per day or import them from a management system, the Google Calendar integration or CSV import are better fits. The extension doesn't replace them. It fills the gap for those moments when the appointment comes from the conversation.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. The extension works with standard WhatsApp Web and with WhatsApp Business Web. It detects the contact the same way in both versions.

Do I need a RicordamiApp account already?

No. You can sign up from the window that opens on your first click. All you need is an email address or a Google account. After signing up, you return to the form with the contact details already filled in.

Is the extension free?

The extension itself is free. Reminders are sent through your RicordamiApp account, based on your active plan. If you don't have an account yet, you can start with the free 14-day trial.

Does it work on Firefox or Safari?

Not yet. It's only available for Chromium browsers: Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera.

Does the extension read my messages?

No. It only accesses the name and phone number of the contact you're chatting with. It does not read, store, or send the content of your conversations. Details are in our extensions privacy policy.
